TED Talk on Cancer fighting diet

Cancer Risk Reduction Using Anti-Angiogenic foods

I just watched this 20 minute TED talk by William Li – Who heads the Angiogenesis Foundation, a nonprofit that is re-conceptualizing global disease fighting.

It was a very persuasive lecture on how certain foods can starve cancers of their blood supply, and stop them from reaching dangerous size before you are ever aware of them.

Well worth the 20 minutes to watch.

I am going to try to do a little more research on these anti-Angiogenic foods and post anything I find

The site Mr Li Mentions for research is PUBMED in case anyone wants to research and add comments to the dialogue.

I would like to make a list of proven anti-Angiogenic foods and supplements.

Please add any in the comment section, and a link to the research if you have it.

Foods with links to research will be added to this main list.

Here is the list I have compiled so far;

Apples licorice root
Artichokes Maitake Mushroom
Blackberries Nutmeg
Blueberries Olive Oil
Bok Choy onions
broccoli Oranges
Cherries Parsley
cooked tomatoes Pineapple
Dark Chocolate Pomegranate
Garlic Pumpkin
ginger Raspberries
Ginseng Red Grapes
Grape seed Oil Red Wine
Grapefruit Sea Cucumber
Green Tea Soy
